Custom Wig Design Course

This course is designed to train the professional cosmetologist the art of designing a custom made hair replacement and how to service the hair loss client from the consultation to the delivery and beyond. Learn the wig secrets used by the movie industry.

8 hour class will include:  Base design (men and women) - using the right cap for the right reasons can be confusing, learn how to design a custom made base to accommodate any need. Learn partials, full caps, and which materials to choose.

• Choosing the right color, density, hair direction and texture 
• Creating an undetectable hair line
• Custom fitting - making a mold of the head
• Attachment and removal methods
• Trouble shooting - repairs
• Chemical treatments on a wig
• Custom Men Toupee
• Client consultation

The instructor Suzanne has been designing custom made wigs since 1994. She will teach you all aspects of wig design. She creates completely UNDETECTABLE hair lines. Suzanne currently service nearly 200 clients for multiple reasons including male and female pattern baldness, alopecia, chemotherapy, injury/scarring, theater, transgender, and for the fun of it!

The average profit for a half to one hour service appointment with Suzanne is $150-$300.
